Best states to sell land to data centers

Big tech invested over $180 billion in data center campuses in 2024 (Dell'Oro Group via Network World). Hyperscalers accounted for over 10% of all commercial development site purchases (Newmark). This is happening in all 50 states, but some markets are far more active than others.

Here are the top 10 states for data center land sales, based on current investment activity and verified facility locations.
